Chat client? solved

Postby Tasogare on Mon Nov 26, 2007 4:17 am

Hey all, I hate to sound like a total newbie (even though I -am-), but I've been thinking about Linux for awhile, and Mint looks like a fairly easy distro to set up, at least comparatively speaking. I'm wondering how to go about setting up a chat client though, specifically one that connects to Jabber like AIM, etc. I know Pidgin works, but I have absolutely no idea how to go about installing it in the least. If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it! I need IRC too, but this setup I found mentions XChat, so hopefully that won't be a problem.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Ahh, thanks very much! That simplifies things! I noticed XChat, but didn't see Pidgin in the list. Sorry about that!
