If you're using Avant Window Manager...

Postby rebster on Mon Nov 26, 2007 5:42 pm

....I think it is really gorgeous. I'd use it as a panel replacement except that I don't see AWN applets on the AWN web site to replace the functionality of networkmanager applet and powersave applet in the panel. Or am I missing something?

Thanks!!!

Well, to a certain extent, it can replace the panel. There is now an "extras" archive that provides AWN applets that duplicate (in a visually slick way) most of the functionality that we usually use the gnome panel for: user space switching, window selection, battery monitoring applet, calendar applet, user notification area, and so on. There are only a couple of things not yet available in applet form, and one of them is something like the networkmanager applet and the powersaved applet.

Just asking....
