What is the best way for integrating Mozilla Thunderbird with the system tray?
I just downloaded an extension but it does not integrate it completly. I'd like to get sound on new mail too and the icon changes for let me know that there is an unread message.
Do you know something can fix it?

you have a few choices, there is firetray and my favorite alltray
alltho alltray will dock any app to the tray, thunder bird changes icon on new mail, but with fire tray you can get custom notifications, use sounds so try them out and see which you like
