SteadyState for Linux

Post by Aurore »

Hello,

Excuse me for my English, I'm a french and new user of Linux, and I am looking for a a software that can be used on Linux which do the same things that SteadyState on Windows. Does it exist? If yes, what is his software?

I have heard about create an image ISO of /home and then create a script that erase /home with the created image at each start of the computer but I dont´t know how to write the script...

Thanks for the answers.

Google search "steadystate-linux" brought up this page. There are several possibilities listed. Try them and see if one does what you want.
