Evolution Mail-solved

Post by grafiksinc »

For those of you that have trested the RC for Mint 11 what is the default Mail client?
I am using Mint 9 gnome desktop "My first mint since leaving Ubuntu a year ago" at the moment and when I moved to it I discovered the Mail client was thunder bird.

I found that I really like Mint all around so, am here to stay.
My preference has always been Evolution mail for years over Thunderbird.
And in Mint 9 Thunderbird was the choice as the default client.
I know its a simple install so no major work needed.
But I will stretch my luck here, what are the chances that Evolution could be the default mail client.

Thanks,
Tommy

Thunderbird is the standard mail client in Mint

I beg to differ with remoulder: neither is.
However both Thunderbird and Evolution are in Synaptic, ready to be installed. So just like strawberries in summer: Pick Your Own.

Thunderbird is the default installed client. Nothing preventing you adding/removing what you prefer.
