[SOLVED] Software using wine
I am installing Mint 9 for someone who has been using Windows. She has a photo editing program called Photo Impression 5, which she likes very much. Does anyone know if this program can be used with Wine or is there a Linux program that would be similar?

Re: Software using wine
Using Windows software under wine is iffy at best and most third-party Windows based software does not work in wine..
I would suggest she learn Gimp which comes pre-installed in most Linux distros.
Once you learn the interface Gimp will do what she wants and then some..

Thankyou Barko and Colyn for your reply. I will tell her to learn to use Gimp. I can't find how to put solved on here.
