a friend of mine is looking for a Linux
program to use to put her comic books into to keep track of her collection.
and ideas of which one to use.
she uses Linux Ubuntu but i am new at linux mint and i told her most open source linux programs should run on any plateform. hope that is ok

gco is a good organiser, although that is all it is
for reading i use comix

There are a few collection manager programs, either as a general collection organizer (Database) or specifically for comics..

I think some of the java based software is usually pretty good, in the features they can provide
--such as jedit or others in the comic book reader realm..

Also, a decent collections manager to check out is GCstar. It is in the repositories for easy installation. Their home site is http://www.gcstar.org/ .

i have downloaded this program and enjoy the design of it. it works great for me and my comics.
