hey so i like to experiment with my os and change stuff around install new things, etc, but the problem is... i keep managing to break my os so it won't boot or has other problems. so my question is, is there some feature like the restore point in windows? i would like to not have to do a fresh install each time i mess with things. as of now i am backing up what files i need and fresh installing my os. i am not too worried about data loss here, more just convenience, but a quick backup manager would help too.
thanks

Clonezilla. Use it once a week and you'll always have a reasonably up-to-date complete, restorable backup of your system.
Mint Cinnamon 20.1

You could also try Remastersys which will create an installable iso image from your system so you can basically reinstall back to a working configuration.
