I've been trying to find a way to look at the messages that come up during Xfce mint's boot up.
dmesg doesn't bring up everything. If I'm not mistaken, there are different levels to those messages, but dmesg -n 1, up to dmesg -n 9 returns nothing at all. Is this a bug ? Where do I find the complete boot log ?
dmesg not showing it all... not even with -n. bug ?

If there are levels to dmesg - with is dmesg -n X display nothing at all ?
Are the kernel boot informations logged to some file somewhere ?
Is this a kernel bug waiting to be fixed ?
