I have installed mint 11 64 bit and more or less everything works.
My cpu is used a lot, sometimes like 80 % or more on both cpu's(P8400 cpu in a Asus N50VN laptop) my fan is making a lot of noise, dispate the fact that it's normaly is quiet and only runs fast if my laptop gets warm (dosn't happens offen when it's not summer), tried to stop the process called indicator-applet-appmenu (was using my cpu a lot) and now my cpu is under 45 % and many times about 25 %.
What can i do so indicator-applet-appmenu dosn't use all my cpu ? (i think i need it) when it does that my fan is all the time running on high speed and making a lot of noise ?
indicator-applet-appmenu is using my cpu a lot, what to do

Re: indicator-applet-appmenu is using my cpu a lot, what to
Noticed that on 4 systems.
Let me give ya a list of better choices.
Mint menu = heavy on resources, best to use gnome custom menu
Replace indicator menu with = indicator complete menu
cpu frequency scaling monitor = fine
system monitor = fine
notification area = fine
window list = fine
trash = fine
show desktop = fine
