This is an odd one. I can play Youtube clips, and clips from many streaming sites, but some sites won't play. I noticed I have problems playing flash content embedded in a thread on a site using the UBB forum software, even if it is from Youtube. I also fail the Adobe flash test. I've tried reinstalling the flash plugin, updating to the beta using flash-aid, and nothing yields results. Any ideas?
Edit: I tried the same embedded flash material on said site and it streamed no problem when using Epiphany.

Re: Firefox Flash Problem
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11.html
What I had to do to fix mine was do a system wide search of libflashplayer.so
and replace them , with the downloaded from the above link.
The best fix I've found so far.

Re: Firefox Flash Problem
It's a no go. I used that one, and the mint-flashplugin version, replacing every instance of libflashplayer.so both times. Still failing the flash plugin test.
Re: Firefox Flash Problem
did you try installing ubuntu-restriceted-addons? even if you've, i'd recommend to remove it and install it again. And then check the flash test on CHROME. I've had this problem on 64-bit and chromium was working fine whereas firefox was failing test.

Re: Firefox Flash Problem
Switching to Ubuntu-restricted-extras was one of my first ideas, didn't work. Epiphany and Chromium are both built on Webkit, maybe this has something to do with the rendering engine?
I followed that guide and it added some support, I can view the streaming sites that I couldn't before, but I still can't view flash embedded in UBB forums and still fail the flash test.

Re: Firefox Flash Problem
Install this firefox-specific flash plugin which automatically installs the latest flash for firefox:
