huh?? where is everyone finding this zip file?
its easily available as an installer
http://www.truecombatelite.net/componen ... nfo/id,99/
just make it executable and run with ./filename.run

PS you need enemy territory installed first, its installed the same way though, both have a graphical installer

TC:E is a mod for Enemy Territory.

I play ET all the time and have played TC:E a few times. I prefer the regular Enemy Territory.

BTW - it works fine in Mint.

Try this:

sudo sh ./et-linux-2.60.x86.run

If you want to play on punkbuster enabled public servers, you will need to update PB or you will get booted.

Once you get this, http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

install it with with:

sudo sh ./pbsetup.run

When it updates pb itself, you have to add Enemy Territory to it and it will then get the update files for that.

Happy Gaming!

If you installed it into the default directory, you should be fine. It creates a .etwolf folder in your home directory where these files that are downloaded go. It is possible that the files are not available to download. Not all servers allow it. Try the following server which I happen to game on a lot.

209.40.100.4

Downloads should work there but you have to be patient depending on how fast your internet connection is. The majority of the servers have a lot of maps and other support files that you download the first time you connect.

You must update punkbuster as well if you haven't already as most servers will kick you if your pb isn't up to date. pb will kick you if it can't update which is most of the time. When it kicks me from lack of updating, I just run pbsetup, run again and manually update ET.
