Permission denied when running an application???

Hello, I want to install pppoe in my mintlinux and have already downloaded and copied it into my mintlinux hd. When I try to run the main application to install it (go) here is what I get:

josep@josep-laptop:~/Desktop/rp-pppoe-3.8/rp-pppoe-3.8$ sudo ./go
Password:
sudo: ./go: command not found
josep@josep-laptop:~/Desktop/rp-pppoe-3.8/rp-pppoe-3.8$ sudo su josep
Today is the first day of the rest of the mess.
josep@josep-laptop:~/Desktop/rp-pppoe-3.8/rp-pppoe-3.8$ ./go
bash: ./go: Permission denied

I don't know what else I can do in order to "gain permission" so that I can install the package. Thank you very much for your help
