Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

well, i solved it. 8)

what needed to be done is deleting the user profile folder in home/username folder. it is an hidden folder, so first enable it and the delete .openoffice.org2 folder.

openoffice creates new profile when starting.

i also downloaded and installed open office 2.3.1 following instructions here: http://www.8daysaweek.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=759

hope this will help some poor soul some trouble.

my wife was laughing at me - because i told her how linuxmint is perfect solution for leaving her xp...:)
