i newly installed mint and apache in it. i get access to the server on hitting http://localhost/ but couldn't get access to server when i put my ip address in the browser (http://[myip] ). my port is forwarded and i am connected to wifi. i have another machine running windows under the same router. a WAMP server works well in that. should i have to configure some in the linux network or with the apache?
Thank you

Re: apache server
Have you enabled the firewall on Linux? In that case, you need to specifically allow traffic on port 80 (the default port where Apache listens).
I'm assuming the router will allow all internal traffic, and your broadband modem has a firewall to block external traffic by default.
