How do I install SVN--the app? Its surprisingly not included

I want to install things via SVN, but I get "command not found" ??? i thought svn was standard on every linux distro, and I absolutely cannot figure out how to install it on the web, as I get a search result for every program with a subversion.. kind of funny though.

How do I install svn, the program so I can start using it?

"Add/Remove Software" in the preferences menu :wink:

its easily available in synaptic, or you can apt-get install subversion
