Media conversion apps?

Postby kanodi on Mon Jan 28, 2008 4:32 pm

Hi guys, I was just playing about with Istanbul, recording my actions and what not, then I thought I would show my friend how cool my new mint desktop looked. But hold on whats this ( .ogg .... sorry new to it :) ). Although this works great on mint, I am guessing it does not on windows? Does anybody know of a conversion application of some sort? I have searched google and the package manager, with no luck :(

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Ouch
There is a double misunderstanding of sorts here
You want to show images and that's not for Audacity but you wrote
( .ogg .... sorry new to it :) )

So I gave you a sound app as ogg is a sound format...

Hi

Mencoder will do it, install from synaptic if not installed.

Then

One single command will completely convert a OGG file into AVI:

mencoder oldfile.ogg -oac lavc -ovc lavc -lavcopts abitrate=160 -o newfile.avi

where oldfile=ogg and newfile =newfile
