Hi there
After setting up LinuxMint 12 x64 on my HP 8560w i installed a working driver for my video card (ATI firepro M5950).
Since then i have to login twice: I start the notebook, it boots and shows the login screen. I type my password, hit enter, the screen turns black for a second then shows again the login screen.
Sometimes similar things happen when i start any Program. The screen turns black, then returns and the Program is started.
Is there a fix or workaround for that?

I found this bug that is kind of the same that i have seen:

So i tried gnome shell with Ubuntu 11.10 but there i had exactly the same problems.
Since there is no fix for this, i'm using again nasty Unity.
