Issues with Thunderbird solved

I don't know what's going on, but Linux Mint seems to work fine on my laptop, but it has the tendency to actually crash every so often. But that's not my point.. my main concern is Thunderbird. I do not know what's going on but Thunderbird fails to even work right out of the box on here. I now have three broken dependencies dealing with Thunderbird alone and I can't get rid of them. They fail to install, fail to update, and fail to remove. I don't know what's going on or anything, so now I can't update anything else until this problem is fixed.

Try

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install -f
Should rid you of broken dependencies and you could go on
The specific TB problem needs more info to solve - unless the above solves it
Broken dependencies could give instablility

The problem goes deeper than that. The command doesn't work at all. But now my issue is that my source.list fails to parse and I don't know why either. I've asked a friend to see if he could help but we couldn't figure out what's going on. I may have to do a complete reinstall of Mint, which I'm not necessarily looking forward to. But then, it might not even fix my problems either way..

Apparently, I fixed the issues. As it turns out, I believe it was just a bad install. Thunderbird works fine now with no problems updating it and such.
