dvd author with quality subtitle

hi all. im searching the net for a GOOD dvd author to linux which takes on the whole work= decode avi, menus, subtitles (from srt's) and dvd author. is there any one avalible? i tried qdvdauthor but had nothing but trouble. its a kde app isntit? very thankful if you know this one.

You might hit lucky and find someone who happens to know about this, but when it comes to niche software questions like this you are probably best using the ubuntu forums. The good thing about Ubuntu is because the community is so huge you can guarantee any question you can think of will have already have been answered there at least once before.
