I cannot seem to download any updates via synaptic manager
I have internet access - thunderbird works ok etc
Is the URL correct or are there access problems?
I tried in firefox - ftp site access seemed ok

any reason why Syn Manager does not work

since I loaded daryna, NO updates have worked

Try to change your Dns servers in administration>network definitions> tab DNS

you will find some new Dns servers in the openDns.org

That worked for me.

ptting those DNS server addresses in before the default fixed all my access to the update sites

AND it fixed my PIDGIN access too.
