Torrent magnet links not opening..

Hey all!

I have a small problem... I'm not able to open magnet links in KTorrent or any other torrent client in Linux Mint 12 KDE. It just opens it in my browser telling me that the page cannot be found. What to do?

I had this yesterday with Transmission: no magnet links worked and no torrent files would download. It seemed to be the result of a Firefox add-on misbehaving, probably a torrent search engine/web GUI. I removed it and a few others and everything went back to normal.

Opera is the browser I use. Plain as can be... only with adblock installed.

Perhaps try a different browser, just to see if it still happens? Also check in the settings that Opera hasn't suddenly decided to stop using them of its own volition.

Yeah found out there were no problems when I use Firefox. But I don't want to use Firefox... Need to find a solution.

Settings - Preferences - Programs - Add - Protocl: magnet - Open With Other Application: /usr/bin/ktorrent - OK
