Retaining User Credentials Citrix Receiver w Gnome 2 n 3

Good Day, My name is Kevin and I'm located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. New to Linux, Old when it comes to Citrix. Old in general.

I'm running a Citrix Farm Xenapp 4.5 running on Microsoft 2003 Server 32 bit. The Farm is integrated into a Netware e-directory environment. My clients have been running Microsoft XP OS connecting to the Farm using Program Neighborhood Agent. They authenticate to the Network-Tree once and are able to open multiple Citrix Published Applications. Without re-authenticating.

I'm testing Citrix Receiver 12 on several Linux OS's. Ubuntu version 8's and version 10's as well as Mint 12. All using the Gnome Manager. Citrix Mint 11 using the Slab and its a different problem. I might post it later.

The Citrix Receiver is the equivalent of the Program Neighborhood. All the Linux OS's I've tested require the Citrix Receiver to remain open or minimized to retain the user's credentials. In this state the user can running as many Citrix Published Applications without logging in as many times. If I close the Citrix Receiver “X” then each time a users selects a Citrix Published Application they have to authenticate. The credentials aren't retained useless the Citrix Receiver is running in the background.

My question has anyone been able to setup the Citrix Receiver to hold a user's credentials without it always remaining open ?

The applications are vitalized to the Linux OS's desktop, I”m not using the Citrix Web Interface. The Web Interface works fine. I don't see this as a certificate related problem. Most posts I've been reading on this site are regarding the Citrix Web Interface and Certificates. I am able to place the application icon on the desktop, in the Citrix Receiver and in the Main Menu <Applications><Citrix> folder. The applications run fine,

I would be interested to know if anyone has figured out a way to load the user credentials once without keeping the Citrix Receiver open.
