mplayer - out of sync audio

well, anyways, i noticed that mplayer will play files out of sync if there is no audio at the Beginning of the file...

currently it is the only player i have that will play H264 files, (VLC and Totem Xine both crash)

i believe the audio is AAC....

anyhow, anyone know how to correct this problem? -.- ....
