Recording from LP's (SOLVED)

I recently installed JACK Audio, to be able to play LP's through my PC speakers.

It seems that Pulse Audio, doesn't work with JACK, but by temporarily disabling PA when JACK is running, it let's me play from the turntable to my speakers.

To record the tracks I'm playing I use Audacity.
I can listen to, and record the track playing, but after about 10 seconds the recording lags significantly and jumps when being played back.
If I don't listen to the track playing, by not running JACK, the recording works fine.

I've tried running JACK with "Realtime" enabled and disabled, but neither setting cures the problem.

Can anyone with experience with JACK and /or Audacity, please give me some much needed guidance?

I got the answer from the Audacity Forums, and it was simply a matter of settings.

In "Recording Preferences" there is a "Software Playthrough" option, which I hadn't enabled.
Audacity says not to enable this if recording "stereo mix" and I took this to mean that if it were enabled, then it would only record in mono, which I didn't want.
My mistake!
