where did XMMS2 go?

Post by Abbydabs »

I used synaptic to download and install Songbird and XMMS2. I want to test both of them for best sound quality. Songbird now appears in the "sound & video" menu but XMMS2 does not. I did a search and found a lot of XMMS2 files but I didn't see a file where I could launch the player. I downloaded a couple of chess programs using synaptic and never found them either. I'm new to linux so I could use a little help. Thank you.

Only graphical applications normally have a menu entry. To use xmms2 see http://xmms2.org/wiki/Using_the_application
