SOLVED Amazon requires updating to newer version of Flash

Hi all.

On three instances of 12.04-based distos (Precise, Mint 13 Cinnamon, Mint 13 KDE), all fully updated, Amazon prompts me to upgrade to a "newer" version of Flash to play back content I've purchased at their site over the years. AFAIK, I'm already running the current (and last) version of Flash for the Linux platform (11.2.206.236), the one in 12.04 repos. I don't know what Amazon expects me to upgrade *to*, since Adobe discontinued support for Linux.

Is there something I'm overlooking here, or am I just stuck? Youtube and other streaming sites work fine, it's just Amazon (so far) that is insistent 11.2 isn't good enough.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Thanks.

Nevermind, fixed it.

Playback requires the package "hal" to be installed.

Thanks for the post. Adobe has instructions on how to install HAL.
