Flash transparency problem

Even though the Adobe Flash plugin (11.2.202.238-0precise1) is working fine in the Firefox (15.0.1) window embbeding it, it becomes visible on other graphic application windows covering it. That is, they become "transparent" to the flash image. This is on Linux Mint 13 Maya 32-bit Mate, and I have observed this problem since I have installed this OS in July (i.e. it remained along the versions in this period). No such problem occurs in Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit, installed in another partition of the same machine. If relevant, the NVidia driver is 295.40.

Is it a bug? (I have searched this site but found no similar report so far).

Actually, a second window is not necessary for the observation of this transparency effect. Scrolling down the page embedding the flash image, it becomes visible when it "passes" through the URL input box above the window.

I have installed Chrome 22.0.1229.79, including Flash version 11.3.31.331, which does not show any such transparency problem. So, it sounds to me like a bug in a Flash version that likely will not be fixed for Firefox...

Hello all,

I too am having this problem, though I also have a problem with colour as everything seems to have a greenish blue tint . I get the problem in both Firefox and Chromium. I have tried deleting Flash files from my cache and removing and then re-installing Flash. I too am running Flash 11.x (whichever is the lastest version) in Mint 13.
