screensaver disabling (solved)

Hi, disruptive screensaver at every 15-minute (or 10 minues) interval during youtube or online video watching is giving me a headache. This happens even when screensaver is deactiviated. While watching movies using VLC player/media player would not cause any screensaver problem but online video streaming does.

Question is how to disable screeensaver during online video playback. Thanks in advance.

I use Linux mint 12 kde on hp dv6.

Hi 007,

I'm assuming your using cinnamon desktop and this may not work if your using a different desktop.

go to

Code: Select all

Menu> System Tools>System Settings>Click on Brightness & Lock> in the middle of the box you see a dropdown menu click on it and select never
That should do it .

good luck

Isn't this cinnamon Mint 13 thing? I don't have that 'brightness & lock' option in the system setting (lm 12 kde). Thanks for quick reply though.

Thanks for the tip, kc1di. Worked like a charm on cinnamon.
