no sound with crystal hd

I just installed Mint 13 cin. everything worked well until I loaded my Crystal HD
support.I used synaptic to install.Now my sound does not work at all.I reinstalled Mint 13 completely and no sound still.I check memory registers and Broadcomm Crystal HD is being loaded as is the HD audio,I do not see my regular intel audio chipset being loaded into memory,ant ideas???
