problems trying to burn dvd

I've tried dvd95, k9copy, brasero, and simply right click and copy, and can't burn a dvd.
Here is the log from brasero:

My deck is a lite on 12x dvdrw and has no problems writing cd's.
any help appreciated by this newbee

The basic rules for burning a live, bootable cd/dvd are:

1) Be sure to burn as an "iso" not a "data" "audio" "video" or any other kind that might be listed.

2) Burn the cd/dvd s-l-o-w, 4X but no faster than 8X

3) Burn in a RAW mode, usually listed as TAO DAO or SAO

4) After you have burned the cd/dvd check the md5 sum to make sure it matches the one on the download site.
