problem playing multiple audio files (music album)

Hi everyone,

I installed the new mint 14 "Nadia" running KDE, so far it works great and is highly recommended.
But, when I select a group of audio files, say, like a music album, almost all the players I've tried open all of the files simultaneously instead of grouping everything as a playlist like it should.

I tried to look into each player's config options but nothing mentions this particular issue so I assume it's a system level configuration problem.

So far I've tried it on Kplayer, KMplayer, Decibel, Audacious, kaffein and amarok.
Kaffein and amarok actually managed to create a playlist of all selected files but then they crashed.

Any suggestions?
