HDA Intel Sound making popping noise

Hi,
I have a soundcard that uses snd-hda-intel module (Conexant) and when I shutdown/hibernate I hear a popping sound from the speakers. I already searched about that and tried the fixes I found like adding power_save parameter to modprobe.conf and disabling aggressive power save from kernel config.
Is there anyone who had the same problem and/or knows how to fix this?

My particular sound card, HDA NVidia with chip Conexant CX20549 uses the snd-hda-intel kernel module. Unfortunately, the default setting enables a power saving feature which causes the speakers to make a popping noise before and after playing sound. .....
