Volume Button

I tried searching, but I dont know exactly what to search for...My volume works fine and so does my buttons...the volume notification pops up when I press the button but the volume doesnt actually change...I have to go in preferences to change the volume..

Wasnt logged in to cinnamon, as soon as I logged in it was fixed...
