I've been using linux mint for a while now. I have a soundblaster emu404 soundcard. To make it work I have to install the alsa firmware from synaptic.
For a reason that I don't understand, the sound only comes into the left speaker now.
This happened 2 days ago. I really don't know what I've done. I've installed system updates. Another thing I did is plugging an USB turntable into my computer.
I've checked everything. In the mixer settings, the balance is in the middle. If I turn it to right speakers, I simply got no sound at all. In the alsamixer, everythin seems ok too.
I also checked the cables, the speakers and the problem doesn't come from that part.
