Firefox 3 and .ram files in Mint 5.0?
How do I get Firefox 3 to play links to .ram audio files? An Edit/Preferences/Applications search for .ram does not show it as an available mime type.

They are played by the mplayer plugin and are set to this by default
You set this in Firefox not in Mint proper
Clicking a link with a .ram file should start mplayer which works very good with both ram and "w files"

Re: Firefox 3 and .ram files in Mint 5.0?
When I click a link to a .ram file from within Firefox 3.0 in Mint 5.0, it only asks me if I want to download the file. It does not offer me any option to play the file.

I see a problem
.ram is not in the list under "Applications" in Preferences
Have to check up how this is changed - you could visit the FF forum and see if there's a solution there - this is a FF problem

I actually visited the Mozilla forums but they did not work all that well.....
On the other hand the Real Player option worked for me....
