I've just moved over from windows with a dual boot of windows 8 and mint, i've really liking it however i'm having some issues with my audio.
My set up is a bit odd
I use one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Converter-Adapt ... dmi+to+vga to get my ps3 audio into my PC. It uses an aux cable from the box to the line in on the pc.
I then turn on line in on the audio control panel in windows and i can hear the ps3 through my speakers which is great. I then have skype on so i can play and talk to friends its excellent and works well.
However in mint i can enable the sound by using pactl load-module module-loopback
whats weird is my friend in skype can hear the ps3 and i can only select to hear my mic (myself) or the ps3 not both at the same time like windows. I'm pretty new to linux and am struggling to understand the issue. I think it may be related to skype using pulse audio instead of direct control of the audio.
