Single 3.5mm jack for simultaneous IO w/Pulse

Postby nthcode on Wed Jan 08, 2014 6:48 am

I got a pretty good Shure earbud with voice in line, both input and output work with my laptop, but only one at a time.
Just wondering, is it possible to make them work at the same time? AFAIK they use different portion of the 3.5mm jack. Or is it hardware bound?

Rant:
It works perfectly on my Nexus 5, and also my previous phones. WHY is my phone's sound system more advance than my laptop lol

I don't know which one is more advanced but probably your computer has separate in/outputs and the nexus has a combined port?
