Hi Mike,
with «adding graphics» do you mean adding metadata, like the cover picture, to the audio tracks?
If so maybe you can try Banshee which is already installed in your system and search for you cover artworks.
If you want more control over the metadata or you have to do mass-operations on different files, you can try easytag. You can find it in your application manager or you can directly install it from your command line: sudo aptitude install easytag

Not sure, easytag is often recommended

But you may also want to check some other options, such as musicbrainz

http://musicbrainz.org/doc/MusicBrainz_Picard/Plugins
--their edit program (apart from their music DB)

music files are a bit of a puzzle..... I've been trying to standardize on the 24bit/.flac format but it seems there are 2 ways of adding the cover art to a file. one is to just add cover.jpg to the album directory. I like using the AUDACIOUS player,-- but it doesn't recognize this method..... somewhere there is a means by which a .flac file can reference the cover art... the files I brought from my windows system using MusicBee work OK... even NEMO shows the thumbnail...

"easytag" otherwise seems to be an extensive and detailed program -- and -- it's from SourceForge

Re: .flac edit ~ Easytag

looks like, while not intutive, Easy tag can do at least part of the job....
in the Pictures tab i can drag in the art work, click select all files and then save -- it writes the tag on all the files. and Audacity picks this up

but not Nemo

also if you delete the art from the Pictures window it deletes it from your source library also so use a copy
