LM 17 KDE: won't play YouTube video stream

Postby ddalley on Fri Jun 27, 2014 2:34 pm

LM 17 KDE will play normal Y-T videos, but something is missing so that it can play Y-T HTML5 video streams.

Here is an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgg9E8iFzew#t=39045

How do we resolve this problem?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

It won't play videos on Facebook type sites, either.

So 100 others don't know how to fix this, either.

It must be really serious.

OK, so now 175 people have no idea how to fix this.

mint-meta-codecs and mint-flashplugin-10.2 and mint-flashplugin-stream are installed.
Flash 10.2 seems wrong, but this is version 17-KDE, so it should know what to install, right?
