pacmd liss no input sinks all of a sudden

Postby Nomin on Sun Jul 06, 2014 1:09 pm

I have a script which changes audio outputs when I call the script, and I use the following command to pull a list of available sinks:

Code: Select all
pacmd list-sink-inputs | grep -oP '(?<=index: )[^ ]+'

The script stopped working, and I noticed that when I enter the command above, or just pacmd list-sink-inputs alone in cmd prompt, I get ">>> 0 sink input(s) available."

I haven't done any changes to my system myself, but have been installing all patches at level 3 or higher. Maybe an update changed audio handling?

Any tips?

I'm on Linux Mint 16.
