Video playback to fast when switched to HDMI Audio / Fixed

Post by dlhahn87 »

I am new to Linux so please be specific when asking em to complete steps.

My HDMI worked fine the first time I used it, but after that every time that I switch to HDMI audio the video starts playing to fast. It doesn't matter what program I am using to watch the video it is still fast. if i switch the sound back to my computer speakers the sound works and the video slows down. It will also work on headphones. Please help

Here is my soundcard information

Audio: Card-1 Intel 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller
driver: snd_hda_intel
Card-2 Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] RV630 HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 2600 Series]
driver: snd_hda_intel
Sound: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture v: k3.13.0-24-

Hi,

looks alright at first but how is the sound out of hdmi? is it "just" the video going to fast or also the sound?
and to what are you connecting the hdmi ? (TV,monitor...else)
