Adobe Releases 64-bit Flash (Alpha) for Linux

Postby simta on Thu Nov 20, 2008 1:12 pm

i installed flash 10 according to the how-to that was on the board (seems to have dissapeared now).

because it was installed via command line, was wondering how would that be uninstalled so i could install the version from here
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html

although it is still an alpha version so is it going to be worth waiting til its at least in beta stage before installing on my system?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Someone has to test an Alpha :) but I advice against it
Which way you installed does not matter - the result is the same so uninstalling is the same (use Synaptic if you like it)

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

yup someone does have to test it, but going on the advice in your sig i definitely fit into the category of not being able to fix it if it breaks. although i generally learn quite alot when i break things n spend a few hours trying to make it work again.

from the lack of replies to the thread it doesn't seem anyone else has installed it yet

I would like to go for it... Because sometimes regular 32bit Flash simply "crashes", it goes "grey"...

-Do you guys think it is really alpha quality ?

If so, I'll wait...

Feel free to post a tutorial...
