I have the Nvidia HDMI output run to a receiver and then to a TV. When everything is on and plugged in, I go to Setting and pull up the Sound configuration, and select the HDMI output in the left pane, and everything works just fine. Audio from all applications goes through HDMI.
When I turn the receiver off (or I think when the OS puts the monitor to sleep), the Analog Output device is selected in the Sound Settings. I'm assuming that's because when the receiver is off, it shows as no device connected and the OS automatically removes it. The problem is when it turns back on, I have to go into that Sound Settings every time and just click the HDMI to hear audio again. But I have to do that every single time I turn it on. Surely there's a way to set a default device for the OS to use every time it's available, right?
