Garbled sound when YouTube fullscreen mode

Post by FelineZoo »

Hello,

I have been running Linux Mint for 1.5 yrs so a bit of a newbie. Sound has been fine until recently but not sure what has happened. The audio is fine when I'm watching a Youtube video, but when I switch to full screen mode it becomes garbled. This also occur when playing music files (FLAC, mp3) in Clementine 1.2.3. Audio sounds fine but when I drag music from file list to playlist, or even just move the mouse around the audio becomes garbled. I have searched all over the internet and this forum and tried various things but nothing seems to work. I have tried to alter setting in pulseaudio (various suggestions here and other forums) or run ALSA mode in Clementine, but still the same result.

It seems that the audio becomes garbles when the CPU or video card are taxed. Is that possible and if so how can I determine if that is the case. I have include info on distro and computer. Thanks for your assistance.
