Well, it's because of the codecs problem.
I also experience it with flash videos. I had to use ppa for latest codecs.
Which Linux Mint version you using?
You can search ubuntuforums.org for guidance on how-to get latest codecs.

Have you tried with MPlayer or/and Gxine or Totem-xine?
