Hi all,
I am using a live mint 7 distro almost everything is running fine
just no sound from headphone socket? Its a Packard Bell Easynote if thats any help and this is the terminal output.
Fingers crossed as I want to leave MS behind for good.

Play a music cd or mp3 file, open "alsamixer" in a terminal, play with the sliders and mute/unmute channels (with the "m" key) until you get sound. If that doesn't work post the output to "lsmod".

This sounds like a typical laptop problem with debian based linux. I wish someone out there can fix it?
