I have a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. I want to be able to use it on Skype. I have been trying to get it to work. I got the webcam to work once, but it doesn't anymore and my voice can't be heard.

hi lagagnon; which part of that thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=547944&page=2 do you think is the most telling?

hi barb; looks like its Vendor ID: Product ID should be

046d:0990

from here

http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/#devices

so that should mean it is UVC-compliant; which means ......... it should work out of the box ......... but ..

can you quote

lsusb
to identify Vendor ID: Product ID for your webcam?
