shockwave plugin not working

Postby tytus on Thu Jul 02, 2009 4:11 pm

I am using Gloria with Firefox 3.0.11 (default). I was trying to display the following page
http://susdesign.com/overhang/index.php
but the firefox complains about missing plugin for (application x-director). Subsequently I went to adobe test website:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/
and discovered that the top part of the test (adobe shockwave player) does not work. I am usingShockwave Flash 10.0 r22. Does anybody know how to fix it?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Shockwave does not natively work on Linux, but apparently can be made to work using Wine:

Very few good web developers use Shockwave in web pages due to the fact it only works under Windows or Mac OS's. I personally never return to web pages with shockwave and always send an email to the webmaster requesting they use Flash instead.
