when i was using ubuntu there was a software that allowed me to just put the cursor on a music selection without clicking and it would play...can some remind me of its name so i can install it? thanks [SOLVED]

If you were using Gnome as your DE, Nautilus does that by default. At least is has for me in any distro in which I've used it.

Just further info: Nautilus is the default file browser, so just open "Home" then navigate to your music folder, and you should have what you're after.

nautilus is already installed so i dont know if theres another software out there..just let me know please

everton: click Menu > Home Folder (under Places) to open nautilus, then navigate to your music (double click on the Music directory probably) then hover the mouse for a few seconds over a music file (it won't play immediately)

It takes a few seconds to play, however, a music note should appear above the icon while you're hovering to indicate that it's going to play.
